Installing content without Version 2

Some users have been experiencing issues with the installers saying "Run8 V2 Not Found at This Location". This can easily be fixed by putting a dummy V2 executable file in your run 8 directory. Below are the steps to create that file.

1. Navigate to your Run8 Directory - Default Location is C:\Run8Studios\Run8 Train Simulator V3 This may be different if you have your simulator installed somewhere else.
2. Right Click on the blank area next to the files and hover over "New" then click "Text Document".

   

   

3. A new text document will be placed in your Run8 Folder titled "New Text Document.txt"

4. Open the text document with notepad and click "File" at the top.
5. Click "Save As..."

   

6. The Save As window will pop up.
7. In the file name box paste "Run-8 Train Simulator V2.exe" (without the quotes)
8. Change the Save As Type drop down from "Text Documents (*.txt)" to "All Files (*.*)"

   

9. Click Save

   

10. Run your desired installer, make sure your point the installer to your Run 8 directory for version 3.
11. Last but not least run the V3 installer AND the Run8_Updater.
