Trouble joining run 8 server.

Howdy all, so I just recently installed run 8 and have been having some trouble joining servers. I am able to get to my network menu and put in all of the server info in the client tab of the the network settings and I'm able to begin the process of joining the server then it bails me out and says "wrong application identifier" and I have no clue what this means, if anyone could help that would be great thanks! P.S. I don't have any routes other than Barstow, needles, and Mojave subdivisions and the trona railway and I only have a few rolling stock packs.

You must not have installed update 1, that's the reason for your wrong application identifier message.
